The Deputy Director of the Traffic Department confirmed in his speech to the Public Security Radio that there is no truth to the information about the driver’s escort violation on the  identity card in the event that he does not wear a seat belt, indicating that the violation will be issued against the driver of the vehicle and calling for the need for the use of seat belts by passengers, which reduces the damages resulting from accidents.

Colonel Kharabsheh indicated that Public Security Directorate began, Monday morning, to intensify control over the violation of not wearing a seat belt by vehicle drivers and their escorts due to the seriousness of this practice, which is originally considered a violation of the traffic law based on Article 38 of the same law.

He indicated that the Public Security Directorate aims, through its traffic and educational procedures and plans, to provide security and safety for citizens on the roads and preserve lives, calling on everyone to cooperate to establish a safer traffic culture for road users.
