 Work permit (infrastructure)

Recipients

• Companies, contractors, citizens, governmental and official institutions.

Place

• The main center: Traffic Planning Branch / Institutional Development Department / Traffic Department.
• Alternative places: Traffic sections specialized in the governorates.

Conditions

• This permit is not granted to operations: (electricity emergencies, water emergencies, telecommunications emergencies) unless they have obtained approval from the Municipality of Amman or the Ministry of Public Works or Municipalities, each according to its competence, as they are the authorities authorized in this regard on the roads.

Documents

• Vehicle Ownership License
• Driving License.
• Personal ID.
• Sketch chart.
• The authorization document in the event that the service applicant is authorized on behalf of the injured person with the documents mentioned above

Procedures

• If the nature of the work/excavation at the site does not require a total closure of the street, the procedures are as follows
  - The recipient of the service should refer to the traffic section according to spatial specialization, in order to fill in the part related to the data related to the excavation and its nature, in addition to information about the street (street name / area / neighborhood).
  - The recipient of the service is required to go to the work site with the application form to be field inspected by the head of the traffic department.
  - The site is inspected by the head of the competent traffic department, in order to ascertain the nature of the street in which the excavation is to be carried out, and to determine the appropriate days and times for work.
  - The recipient of the service should review the planning branch / in the capital or the traffic departments / in the governorates, along with the form described to him by the head of the traffic department to complete the transaction.
  Automatic turn number taking.
  Submit the form to the competent employee to complete the procedures.
  But if the nature of work in one of the streets requires a total closure of the street, the procedures are as follows:
  - The contractor must make a sketch drawing specifying the work site, the street to be closed, and the detour path, with the necessary traffic signs and the nature of the traffic safety means that will be used.
  - The plan is presented to the engineers of the Traffic Planning Branch / Studies and Planning Department, for approval after the field inspection of the site.
  The employee checks the submitted papers and the data contained in the form.
  Filling out the permit by the employee with the required data.
  Granting the permit stating all the conditions, signed and stamped with the official seal.

Partners

• Greater Amman Municipality/bring the electronic permit number - Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Municipalities/to bring an official letter from the competent ministry or municipality.

• (5 minutes)
• (1-2) working days, if the excavation does not require a total closure of the street and does not impede traffic.
• (2-5) working days, if the excavation requires a total closure of the street
