Criminal Investigation Friends
The Criminal Investigation Department always seeks to strengthen community partnership frameworks to build relationships with citizens and motivate them for the purpose of assisting the Public Security Agency in combating crime, to do so, "Friends of Criminal Investigation" courses will be held.
The objectives of the Criminal Investigation Friends courses
The Criminal Investigation Friends courses aim to achieve the following: -
- Participation of the local community in law enforcement by providing assistance to criminal investigation officers.
- The society plays a major role in raising awareness among citizens.
- See the efforts of the criminal investigation squads in maintaining security.
- Security awareness, developing a sense of security, and enhancing security culture to immunize individuals from falling into crime.
- Paying attention to security education and emphasizing that it is a continuous process that takes place through educational institutions and the family.
- Participation of the local community in making suggestions and conducting studies to reduce crime among community segments targeted by the courses.
Governmental institutions, represented in all official departments in the Kingdom.
Non-governmental institutions, including:
- Associations, social, cultural and sports clubs, universities and community colleges, schools, major factories, hotels, bodies and institutions, and any gatherings that request participation in such courses.
- Mechanism for holding criminal investigation friends' sessions
The following mechanism is adopted to hold criminal investigation friends' sessions: -
- The required courses are held at the Criminal Investigation Department for a period of three days.
- The Criminal Investigation Friends Card and the Certificate of Participation are given to those who complete the course. They are issued by the Criminal Investigation Department.
Topics of Criminal Investigation Friends courses
- Security issues (definition of criminal investigation missions, the preventive role in combating crime, thefts and their prevention, reporting crimes, and fraud.
- producing films about the Public Security Agency and security awareness programs.
- Organizing visits to the Criminal Investigation Department, to view the duties assigned to it.
