On 1-7-1987, this school was established under the name of Al-Kafrain Training Center, then the name was changed to become the Training Center for the Public Security Brigade in which the center received its first course in that year.
On 1-1-1998, the center was separated from the command of Public Security Brigade and followed to the Training Department.
On February 7, 2000, the center was restructured in light of the creation of the Basic Skills Department, and then was named the Al-Kafrain Training School.
On February 23, 2001, a Royal Decree was issued naming the school “ Prince Hashem Ibn Al Hussein School for Specialized Training and it is followed to the Training Department.
On 11/26/2001, the school was separated from the Training Department and followed to the King Hussein Ibn Talal Brigade - Public Security.
On 9-1-2002, the school was separated from the command of the King Hussein Ibn Talal Brigade - Public Security and followed to the Special Security Forces Command in light of the formation of the Special Security Forces Command.
On 4/29/2003, the training school was separated from the Special Security Forces Command and followed to the Training Department.
On 4-10-2005, the school was separated from the Training Department and followed to the Special Security Forces Command.
On 6/18/2008, the school was named “ the Gendarmerie Training School” in light of the formation of the General Directorate of Gendarmerie Forces.
On 1-1-2017, the gendarmerie training school was separated from the assistant for operations and training, and it was followed with the Training Directorate.
On 12-16-2019 a Royal Decree was issued to include the gendarmerie forces within the Public Security Agency.
On 01/02/2020, in light of the merger, the Gendarmerie Training School was followed to the Directorate of Human Resources and Training / Gendarmerie Forces.
On 07-27-2021, the Gendarmerie Training School was followed to the Director of Operations and Training / Gendarmerie Forces.
