1. Initiating and conducting a public right lawsuit against members of the force.
  2. Providing legal advice to the director of public security, police directors, and departments.
  3. Giving judicial notes related to public security issues and responding to judicial notes directed against the Public Security Directorate
  4. initiating the financial requests to  civilians for money belonging to public security, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Attorney General, in accordance with the Government Laws.
  5. Submission of data and documents to the Civil Public Prosecution and the Administrative Public Prosecution in cases related to the Public Security
  6. providing the Chief Public Prosecutor and the Court of Cassation with all correspondence and files related to the criminal cases.
  7. To check the sentences issued by the PSD unit commanders and to indicate the extent to which these penalties comply with the laws and regulations and within the powers granted to the unit commanders.
  8. Review all judgments issued by the Public Security Court before ratification and publishing them after ratification.
  9. Review all agreements concluded between the Public Security Directorate represented in its specialized department and other parties before signing them.
  10. Participate in amending and developing laws and regulations that affect the public security apparatus.
  11. Receiving complaints that are submitted directly to the Public Security Directorate from official authorities against public security personnel, investigate their content, and take appropriate decisions.
  12. Appealing criminal judgments issued by the Public Security Court to the Court of Appeal.
