 About us 

  • In 1970, the Training Department was established.
  • In 1976, the task of research and development was added to the tasks of the Training Department, and it was called the Training, Research and Development Department, then it was with the task of planning in public security, and remained called the Training, Planning and Development Department.
  • In 1985, planning and development was separated from the training department and was associated with the assistant director of public security for manpower, and the training institutes in public security were technically followed to it.
  • In 1987, Public Security Directorate declared a year of training to be a new stage in the comprehensiveness of training, where the Royal Police Academy was established and replaced the Officers Training Institute and the Specialized Training Institute
  • In 1991, the Training Department was associated with the Assistant Director of Public Security for Operations, Planning and Training.
  • In 2003, the following training schools were followed to the Training Department (Prince Hashem Ibn Al Hussein School for Specialized Training, Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad School for Al Badia) in addition to Hussein bin Abdullah Police School, which was originally followed to the Training Department.
  • In the year 2005, it was decided to derperate Prince Hashem bin Al Hussein School for Specialized Training from the Training Department .
  • In 2007, it was decided to deperate Prince Hussein bin Abdullah Police School and Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad School from the Training Department and followed to King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Training City.
  • On December 20, 2018, the Training Department was restructured and the training institutes shown below were followed to the Training Department and affiliated with the Assistant for Management and Human Resources. (King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Training City, Royal Police Academy, College of Police Sciences, General Secretariat of the Sports Federation).
  • In the year 2020, the budget of the Training Department was canceled, the budget of the Training Directorate was approved, and the training institutes shown below were followed to the Training Directorate, affiliated with the Assistant for Human Resources and Training (King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Training City, Royal Police Academy, College of Police Sciences) .
  • In 2021, the Training Directorate was followed to the Assistant for Operations and Training, and a Gender Capacity Building Center was created (structurally) affiliated to the Training Directorate on 11/18/2021
